Abstract

In the present - day Vietnamese society, religions still preserve the base for their subsistence and development but in a community its role has undergone definite changes. Religions cannot avoid influences from politics and culture. Since the August Revolution up to the present, the State of Vietnam has carried out many important policies contributing to correctly solve relations between politics and religions in the conditions of socialism. Since the renovation of the country, the religious policy of the Communist Party of Vietnam has had a basic turning point to systematically carry out the policy of respect and to ensure the religious freedom of a part of the population. The State of Vietnam has also gradually ameliorate its legislation on beliefs, religions. Among religious organizations, some believers and dignitaries still have not a right understanding on the religious policy of the State of Vietnam. Moreover, hostile forces against Vietnam still do not abandon their measures to make use of beliefs and religions for political intrigues. The intimate combination of the scientific theory and practical experiences is a crucial point to carry out relations between the state power and religious organizations in Vietnam at the present time.
