Ideology of human rights in Lê Dynasty penal code

In the history of Vietnamese feudal states, Lê Dynasty was evaluated as one of the most prospect period, especially the period of Lê Thánh Tông King. By writing and releasing the Criminal Law of Lê Dynasty (also known as Hồng Đức Law), Lê Thánh Tông set the milestone of the highlest level of law formation in Vietnamese feudal dynasties. Back to that period, the Criminal Law of Lê Dynasty actually contained many advanced contents, especially regulations on human rights. Thoes ideas showed the ideology of focusing on people and protecting them by the King. They also are the evidences of a modern vision and mindsets of the King when he particularly respect the laws. They are the main contents analyzed by authors in the article.
