Social Assistance to Ensure Social Security for Ethnic Minority Migrant Workers in Some Industrial Zones of Bac Ninh Province

Abstract

Amidst robust industrial development, Bac Ninh Province has attracted a significant number of migrant workers from rural and mountainous areas, including many ethnic minority workers. Ensuring social assistance for workers in industrial zones, particularly ethnic minority migrants, is essential to guarantee social security and labour equality. Based on fieldwork findings from several industrial zones in Bac Ninh Province, this article analyses the current state of social assistance for ethnic minority workers, the achievements attained, as well as issues yet to be addressed. On this basis, the study proposes several recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of social assistance efforts, supporting ethnic minority workers in their integration and development process today.
