Abstract
Water puppetry is a typical folk culture of the Red River Delta. Water puppetry reflects vividly and realistically the cultural life of farmers and rural areas, showing the interaction between Vietnamese people and nature. The content of Water Puppetry is shown through games and tricks, very vividly performed by puppeteers on the water surface. In the ancient society, there was a saying: "in the morning puppets, at night, cheo" proved the important value of water puppetry in the spiritual life of Vietnamese people in the Red River Delta.
