THE CULTURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF ENGLISH PROVERBS RELATED TO WORKING EXPERIENCE

Abstract

There are elements of national cultures in the languages of any nations, in which proverbs contain the deepest cultural values because they have been formed from people's working life and struggles through the history of conquering nature and developing society. They are the quintessence, the invaluable treasure on living experiences as well as the unique cultural imprints of a land, a territory, a community and a nation in general. In this paper, we have studied proverbs definitions, cultural concepts, the relationships between language and culture, the cultural characteristics of proverbs related to working experience.
