LEGAL PROVISIONS ON DOSSIERS AND PROCEDURES FOR BUSINESS REGISTRATION IN THE LAO PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC AND PROPOSALS FOR AMENDMENT

Abstract

The passage of the 2013 Law on enterprises marked the development of the law on enterprises in general and  the law on enterprise formation in particular in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic. The practice, however, shows that there are still some limitations of the law in the field, especially the lack of the specific provisions on dossiers and procedures for business registration. The paper discusses the current law on dossiers and procedures for business registration in which it points out those provisions that need to be amended and supplemented.
