Developing science and technology to achieve double-digit economic growth

Abstract

The draft Political Report submitted to the 14th Party Congress sets the economic development goal for the 5-year period, 2026 - 2030, at 10%/year or more(1). To achieve that goal, it is necessary to maximize the combined resources, in which science and technology are considered one of the main driving forces(2). This article clarifies the role of science and technology in achieving economic growth, analyzes the current situation and proposes solutions for developing science and technology to achieve double-digit economic growth as set out in the Draft document’s submitted to the 14th Party Congress.
