Vietnam - US relations during President Donald Trump's second term from the perspective of institutionalism

Abstract

During President Donald Trump's first term (2017-2020), Vietnam - US relations continued to develop positively on the foundation of existing cooperation. Since D. Trump returned to the US presidency, relations between the two countries have undergone new transformations. This article analyzes the highlights of Vietnam - US political and diplomatic relations during President Trump's first term and forecasts the prospects for bilateral relations during his second term from the perspective of institutionalism.
