Applying knowledge into practice is an important goal in teaching in high schools. The role of applying
knowledge in practice is shown in that students have the skills of applying knowledge to solve problems
related to the content of lessons, especially solve diverse practical problems in life on the orientation of
learning through practice, linking theory with practice, linking school in society. In this paper, we propose
an automation-based STEM topic “Full-warning water pitcher” for high school students. This topic is built
in accordance with the current general education program in subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Technology.
