Enlightening revolutionary tradition for students has been an activity that receives the attention of
agencies from central to local. With the specific features of the subject, local history will contribute to the
above activity and encourage the effective implementation. Kien Giang - The province had fought hard for
the local army and people that had contributed to enlightening revolutionary tradition for their students. In
the period 1975-1979, the army and people’s Kien Giang province fought and scarified against the invading
Khmer Rouge army, protecting their homeland. With great historical value, it is necessary to integrate the
theme “Kien Giang army and people fighting against the invasion of Khmer Rouge (1975-1979)” in local
history to educate adolescence about Vietnamese history.
