READING ENGLISH- PROBLEMS AND SOME SUGGESTIONS TO IMPROVE READING SKILLS

ABSTRACT
English has been becoming a crucial key for almost everyone who wants to update their knowledge,
get the latest ideas as well as share their experience to others as about 80% of the publication every year
comes out in English. On the process of picking up a language, learners have to master the four language
skills: reading, writing, speaking and listening, of which reading appears to be the most frequently used in
both their daily life and career development when they wish to enrich their knowledge or skills. This paper
looks into some problems that may encounter English learners and then gives some suggestions to overcome
those problems so that learners can improve their reading skills and then make the best use of their English
command.
