ABSTRACT
Law on temporary detention and custody provides clearly and definitely the rights and duties of houses
of temporary detention or detention centers in managing the persons in temporary detention or custody from
receiving persons to classification, arranging detention place based on classification, managing the persons
in temporary detention or custody, protecting the houses of temporary detention or detention centers safe.
With those regulations, this law has created a strong legal foundation for houses of temporary detention
or detention centers in the provinces in the Southwest of Vietnam which can work and manage the persons
in temporary detention or custody more efficiently. Through their work, they can find out the mistakes,
weaknesses as well as the difficulties or obstacles to raise their opinions with the leaders. It helps to enhance
the effect of management process to persons in temporary detention or custody. Moreover, it can ensure the
procedures in Law on temporary detention and custody being established correctly and followed Vietnam
Communist Party’s policies, course of actions and the State Law.
