Improving digital competencies for lecturers in the context of digital transformation

Abstract

Digital transformation is an inevitable development trend, bringing many opportunities, while posing many challenges, with a strong impact on all levels, industries, fields, economics, society, security, national defense, and making fundamental and comprehensive changes. Digital transformation in education and training at the university level is being strongly implemented according to the national digital transformation program to 2025, with a vision to 2030 according to Decision No. 749/QD-TTg dated June 3, 2020. of the Prime Minister and Decision No. 131/QD-TTg dated January 25, 2022 on approving the Project to enhance the application of information technology and digital transformation in education and training for the period 2022-2025, with an orientation to 2030. The program implementation process has identified the requirements for digital transformation in university education, including the requirement to develop digital capabilities of lecturers at universities in Vietnam today.
