This study shows the impact of farming methods on the growth of meat for commercial Sasso chicken in Autumn-Winter. The experiment was establised in blocks to ensure repeatable reliability, results are presented below.
The farming methods have small effects on Chicken Sasso; the capative method resulted better than semi-captive method:
- The high rate 97.33% fed in semi-captivity; and 97.78% in capacity.
- The weight calculated for overall living space at 9 weeks old ranged from 1915,95g to 1949,53g; absolute average growth from 29.77 to 30.30 g/ stock / day.
- (FCR) Cumulative calculation methods common for captive was 2.28 kg, 2.36 kg was in semi- captivity. - Sasso chickens in the semi-captive has good meat quality than in the captive, in line with consumer tastes better.
Chicken Sasso could be suitable for both methods captive and semi-captive and high productivity in Phu Ninh district, Phu Tho province. These results gave a basic for multiplying such fowl to farmers.
