Forest Land Use Management to Meet Sustainable Development Goals: Some Problems and Solutions
Abstract
Vietnam is a country with a large area of forestry land, accounting for 55% of the total 28 million hectares of agricultural and forestry land, but its potential for socio-economic development has not been fully exploited. In the years of implementing the renovation policy, Vietnam's land policy in general and forestry land in particular have had important changes, contributing positively to development. However, facing the new development context, facing the trend of sustainable forestry development, the management and use of forestry land must be thoroughly considered and have an appropriate approach to the new conditions, contexts and situations. In this article, the author presents studies assessing the practical situation of forestry land management and use as a basis for developing solutions for sustainable forestry development.
