Abstract: Vietnam is entering a new era, the era of the nation’s rise, after 40 years of realization of the country’s cause of comprehensive renovation. In order to help the country rise/grow and stand shoulder to shoulder with the great powers of the world, the process of industrialization and modernization must continue to be accelerated. However, unlike the previous phase, industrialization and modernization are now being pursued in a new context, with both new opportunities and challenges. A clear understanding of this new context, along with its opportunities and challenges, is a crucial factor in ensuring the success of industrialization and modernization in the new era.
