SOCIAL MANAGEMENT OF ECOLOGICAL ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION IN THE MEKONG DELTA: CURRENT SITUATION AND CHALLENGES

Abstract: Entering the 21st century, humanity faces numerous issues such as ecological pollution, natural resource depletion, and climate change — all of which not only negatively affect human livelihoods but also threaten ecosystems. The Mekong Delta is no exception. This article analyzes the current state of social management in protecting the ecological environment in the Mekong Delta, and the challenges posed by extreme, unpredictable weather events, natural disasters, droughts, and erosion caused by climate change. In response to these impacts, achieving sustainable development in the Mekong Delta requires not only immediate solutions but also long-term strategic approaches to environmental protection and social management.
