Abstract: The article explores the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam toward the young generation in the current context. It affirms that youth is a major social force, decisive to the nation’s future, based on the thoughts of President Ho Chi Minh, Marx, Lenin, and leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam. In the context of digital transformation and international integration, attracting, mobilizing, and promoting the role of youth faces many challenges from cyberspace and diverse ideological currents. The paper analyzes the theoretical foundation of youth work from the viewpoints of Marx and Lenin on succession and the lifelong learning mission of youth, together with Ho Chi Minh’s perspective that young people are the “pillar of the nation,” the “reserve force,” and the “trusted arm” of the Party. It also presents the Party’s and State’s policies through Resolutions, the 2020 Youth Law, and the Vietnam Youth Development Strategy for 2021–2030, highlighting the shift from “strengthening leadership” to “promoting youth as active agents” and equipping them with the competencies of the era.
