Abstract: Currently, the process of globalization and international integration is taking place profoundly, transforming all aspects of Vietnamese social life. Moral education for students faces many difficulties in terms of standards and the environment for receiving values. The application of Marxist–Leninist philosophy in moral education has become essential in order to orient worldviews, outlooks on life, and proper life ideals for the future intellectual generation. With its comprehensive system of ideas about human beings, morality, and social practice, Marxist–Leninist philosophy plays a foundational role in building a new system of moral values that meets the requirements of the present era. This paper analyzes the role of Marxist–Leninist philosophy in the moral education of students and proposes several solutions to improve the effectiveness of moral education based on the combination of theory and practice.
