Role of lawyers as defenders for legitimate rights and interests of litigants in civil proceedings

Abstract

The defender for legitimate rights and interests of litigants in civil cases plays a vital role in supporting the litigants effectively protect their legitimate rights and interests during the civil procedure. Their participation in civil proceedings also helps the settlement of civil cases by the court to be objective, fair and lawful. The article focuses on clarifying the role of lawyer as a defender for legitimate rights and interests of litigants in the civil procedure process under the 2015 Civil Procedure Code at specific stages of the civil procedure.
