COMBINATION OF TRADITIONAL AND E-LEARNING METHODS IN TEACHING STATISTICAL PROBABILITY FOR THE FIRST YEAR MEDICAL STUDENTS IN THAI NGUYEN UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY

Abstract

This article assesses the current state of teaching Statistical Probability for the Medical freshmen by Traditional teaching methods, and the combination of this method with E-learning teaching method at Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

Study method: Descriptive cross-sectional study; qualitative and quantitative research. Study results: The survey, through the COPUS observation panel, shows that the combination of Traditional teaching methods and E-learning teaching methods in the 2018-2019 school year (Group 2) has brought better achievements than the pure use of Traditional teaching methods in the academic year 2017-2018 (Group 1). Basing on this, the researchers recommend that the integration of E-learning teaching methods with Traditional teaching methods in teaching Probability Statistics for all systems of Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy should be maintained and promoted.
