THE METHOD OF DEVELOPING JOB SEEKING SKILLS FOR GRADUATES OF THAI NGUYEN COLLEGE OF ECONOMICS AND FINANCE

Abstract

In order to study the current situation and the factors affecting job seeking skills after graduation of Thai Nguyen College of Economics and Finance, some research methods have been used such as: The method of document research, the method of survey by questionnaire, the method of in-depth interview and data processing method by mathematical statistics. The research results show that the students' job seeking skills after graduation are at an average level and are expressed through four skills: career planning skills, skills of seaching information about jobs, curriculum vitae preparing skills and interview skills. The research results also show the factors affecting job seeking skills of students after graduation, in which the subjective factor that has a strong influence is the student's activeness and job seeking motivation. The objective factor is the school's curriculum and the teachers’s teaching methods. Originating from the current situation and influencing factors, the research group has proposed a number of measures to help develop job seeking skills for students after graduation of Thai Nguyen College of Economics and Finance, thereby contributing to the orientation and training at the college.
