STUDY ON SITUATION OF GROUNDWATER EXPLOITATION IN TUYEN QUANG CITY, TUYEN QUANG PROVINCE
Abstract
Tuyen Quang city has a water use demand of over 15,000 m3/day, of which mainly groundwater is exploited. The assessment of the current status of groundwater exploitation and management aims to provide an important source of data for management. This study was conducted in 2022 by 2 methods: the method of collecting, analyzing and processing information and the method of field survey. Currently, in Tuyen Quang city, there are 11 groundwater exploitation wells of Tuyen Quang Water Supply and Sewerage Joint Stock Company operating with the largest total exploitation volume of 15,172 m3/day. The exploiting activities have not caused environmental risks and incidents. The management and exploitation of groundwater in Tuyen Quang city are carried out in accordance with the law and have achieved certain efficiency, providing enough water for daily life and production. The process of exploiting and using groundwater has some limitations such as the risk of water and groundwater pollution, and limited resources for management. This study proposes some solutions to improve the efficiency of exploitation and management of groundwater resources in Tuyen Quang city.
