ILLNESS STATUS OF OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES OF THAI NGUYEN UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND PHARMACY IN 2021

Abstract

The study aims to determine the disease pattern according to ICPC-2 of officials and employees of Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy. A cross-sectional description using secondary data on 319 officials and staff members working at Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 2021 was used. As a result, the average age is 41.0 + 9.2; 69.3% of people are men. Overweight workers make up 51.1% of the workforce, with males making up 84.7% of this group. Officials and employees with a history of alcohol use is 69.3%, smoking is 21.9%. The rate of disease/disease syndrome accounted for 97.4%; in which the rate of 2-3 diseases/disease syndromes accounts for 67.7%. Non-communicable diseases accounted for the majority (93.1%). Diseases/disease syndromes with the largest proportion were oral diseases (74.3%), hyperglycemia (59.9%), and refractive errors (57.4%). Determining disease patterns and trends helps managers make flexible changes in strategies to approach and manage the health of officials and employees in order to properly allocate medical resources so that they can provide the best medical services to the subjects.
