Abstract

The automatic facial animation system according to the voice contributes to reducing the time and effort for character animators in the construction of cartoons, simulation graphics systems and virtual reality. Based on previous studies on existing animation techniques and specific features in Vietnamese pronunciation, we build a Vietnamese animation translator as the basis for automatic facial expression. This technique allows to convert Vietnamese text into virtual facial speech movements that synchronize with audio in real time. The animation image of the virtual character is evaluated based on the perception of real users and experts in the field of animation with the criteria of realism, naturalness and smoothness for good results. Since then, the animation technique proposed in the article allows to replace or partially support the work of facial animation of three-dimensional characters with Vietnamese. At the same time, this study helps to improve the communication method between humans and computers.
