STUDY AND BUILD SYNTHESIS PROCEDURE OF LiAlO2 MATERIAL
Abstract
In this paper, LiAlO2 synthesized by three different methods was investigated. Firsly, LiAlO2 was synthesized by sol-gel method with starting precursors including LiNO3, Al(NO3)3.9H2O and C6H8O7. Secondly, LiAlO2 was prepared by reaction solid state method including the starting materials are Li2CO3 and γ-Al2O3. Thirdly, LiAlO2 was prepared by sol-gel method combined with EDTA starting materials including LiNO3, Al(NO3)3.9H2O, C6H8O7 and C10H16N2O8 (EDTA). LiAlO2 after being synthesized by three different methods was studied for structure and morphology by X-ray diffraction and Scanning Electron Microscopy techniques. The results indicate that gamma monophasic LiAlO2 material was obtained when sintering at a temperature greater than 900 0C. The structure and morphology of LiAlO2 materials depend on calcination temperature and synthesis method.
