Abstract
Nanochitin, obtained from chitin through nanostructuring processes, exhibits distinct characteristics such as biocompatibility, water dispersibility, and non-toxicity. Owing to these features, it has become a subject of interest in diverse domains including food science, healthcare, agriculture, and environmental applications. This paper discusses how the structural attributes of nanochitin relate to its functionality and reviews a range of studies that have demonstrated its practical uses.
