IMPACTS OF CHATGPT ON STUDENTS’ LEARNING AT TRADE UNION UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The emergence of ChatGPT highlights the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in social life in general, and in education and training in particular. This article studies the multifaceted impacts of ChatGPT on university students’ learning. It selects full-time law students at the Trade Union University as a case study. By collecting and analyzing secondary data from published research results in the proceedings of the scientific conference “Innovating law teaching and learning in response to the impact of Chat GPT” and applying descriptive statistical methods, the study found that Chat GPT has both positive and negative effects on students’ learning processes. The evaluation results indicate that the most significant negative impact of ChatGPT is students’ excessive reliance on the tool, which leads to a decline in critical thinking and reduced creativity in learning. Based on these assessments, the paper proposes solutions to optimize the advantages of Chat GPT while minimizing the potential risks this technology poses to higher education. The aim of the study is to explore a concrete approach to building a foundation for integrating AI into the field of education and training in a safe, effective, and sustainable manner
