The preparation for the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising by the Vietnam Labor Party

Abstract

The 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising was the decisive campaign that led to the ultimate victory of the Vietnamese people's resistance war against the United States, for national liberation. This great victory was the result of the meticulous preparation of the Vietnam Labor Party from 1973 to the beginning of the spring of 1975. Thanks to this thorough preparation, the 1975 Spring General Offensive in Vietnam took place rapidly with resounding success. In just 55 days and nights, the Vietnamese army and people completely liberated the South, unifying the country on April 30, 1975.
