Raising awareness of self-defence for violence prevention and child sexual abuse in ethnic minority groups in Gia Lai province

Abstract

In Gia Lai, violence against children and child sexual abuse has been becoming
a burning issue in present-day society. More seriously, the situation has recently increased
in ethnic minority agroups in Gia Lai province. Applying sociological and experimental
investigation, this article focuses on clarifying the reality of violence against children and child
sexual abuse in ethnic minority groups in the province from 2019 to 2021. On that basis, the
author suggests educational solutions to help children between the ages of 6 and 15 raise
their awareness of abuse prevention in ethnic minority groups through comic books.
