A relationship between online learning satisfaction and effectiveness of online learning among accounting students at Quy Nhon University
Abstract
This study is conducted to evaluate the relationship between the "online learning satisfaction " and the "effectiveness of online learning" of accounting students at Quy Nhon University. Based on Uses & Gratification theory by Cheung et al. (2011) and Delone and McLean Information Systems success model (2003), the authors hypothesizes that factors such as “lecturers", “students”, “course structure”, and “technology” will impact the “online learning satisfaction of students”, which in turn will affect the “effectiveness of online learning”. The SEM analysis with a sample of 300 accounting students at Quy Nhon University confirmed the research hypothesis. Therefore, not only Quy Nhon University but also other universities and colleges, when organizing online teaching, need to pay attention to enhancing student satisfaction with online learning, besides investing in equipment, developing methods to convert from face-to-face teaching to online teaching, etc., to help students achieve the highest learning effectiveness.
