APPLYING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) IN SONGWRITING THROUGH A CREATIVE COMPETENCY-BASED APPROACH IN EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AT HIGH SCHOOLS

Abstract

The article presents the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in songwriting for high school students, based on the framework of the 2018 General Education Curriculum. The study focuses on analyzing the role of AI in developing students’ musical creativity, while also identifying the advantages and limitations of implementing AI technology in the general education environment. Through surveys and pedagogical experiments, the results indicate that AI offers significant opportunities for high school students to enhance their songwriting abilities and foster musical creativity. However, without proper guidance, students may become overly dependent on technology, potentially affecting emotional expression in music creation. The paper also proposes several solutions for effectively integrating AI-based music software into extracurricular activities, contributing to the digital transformation of music education.
