The author systematizes and further studies the group of architectural terracotta materials, including bricks, tiles and architectural decorative materials from the Đinh - Lê periods, which have been so far discovered in the Hoa Lư Imperial City. He The author states that the bricks and tiles from the the Đinh - Lê periods were clearly varied over time, which are obviously clearly in their colors from gray to red and the decorative designs with Buddhist effects; especially the tiles with the characters meaning "Đại Việt quốc quân thành chuyên"(made by Đại Việt army) and the decoration with dragon statues. The research on the architectural materials found from in the Hoa Lư Imperial City contributes to better clarification of the characteristics of this artifact group in the architectural material system and new perception in the historical and cultural values of the Hoa Lư Imperial City in national history.
