Objective: To describe the clinical characteristics of allergic patients with monosensitization and polysensitization at Hai Phong Medicine University Hospital in 2025, and to compare total serum IgE levels between these two sensitization groups. Subjects and Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 55 allergic patients at Hai Phong Medicine University Hospital from June 2025 to December 2025. Results: Polysensitization was more prevalent than monosensitization (83.64% vs. 16.36%). Patients with polysensitization exhibited more diverse and severe clinical manifestations, with symptoms such as angioedema (8.70%), dyspnea (15.22%), and gastrointestinal symptoms observed exclusively in this group. Total serum IgE levels were significantly higher in the polysensitized group than in the monosensitized group (median: 118 IU/mL vs. 34 IU/mL; p = 0.001). Conclusions: Polysensitization was associated with higher total serum IgE levels and more diverse, severe multisystem clinical manifestations compared with monosensitization.
