SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURAL LIVELIHOODS TO ADOPT CLIMATE CHANGE - INFLUENCE FACTORS (The case of An Phu district, An Giang province)
Abstract
Climate change significantly impacts agricultural production. Farmers require adequate resources to promote sustainable agricultural production and enhance resilience to complex weather variations. The study utilised quantitative and qualitative survey data from 2024 to analyse the factors influencing sustainable agricultural livelihoods of farmers in An Phu district, An Giang province, in the context of climate change adaptation. The research findings indicate that climate change significantly affects agricultural production. Factors such as extreme weather, irregular rainfall, and drought contribute to crop failure, diminished crop and livestock productivity, heightened production costs, and increased care expenses. The article provides recommendations aimed at enhancing the sustainability of agricultural livelihoods for residents of An Phu, An Giang, based on an analysis of the current situation.
