STRATEGIC FINANCIAL COOPERATION BETWEEN RUSSIA AND CHINA IN THE BRICS FRAMEWORK: GOALS, REALITIES AND TRENDS
Abstract
BRICS is an international organization established in 2010 that has been emerging as an important forum for member countries to promote common interests and reshape the global economic and political structure. Russia and China serve not only as the founding members but also as prominent leaders, actively engaging in numerous initiatives to foster intra-bloc collaboration. The financial cooperation of the two countries demonstrates the convergence of bilateral interests and joint efforts to reduce dependence on the Western-dominated financial system, build independent payment channels and financial infrastructure, and promote a more multipolar financial system. This article undertakes an examination of the objectives, present conditions, and future prospects of financial collaboration between Russia and China within the BRICS framework.
