YOUTH UNION IN DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION - CASE STUDY OF HO CHI MINH CITY
Abstract
Vietnam has been developing the National Digital Transformation Program since 2020, in accordance with Prime Minister Decision No. 749/QD-TTg. As a result, implementation has been carried out nationwide, from the Central Government to the provinces and cities, and it has initially produced specific outcomes. One of the top cities for digital transformation is Ho Chi Minh City. The Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, in particular, is a proactive organization that spearheads numerous initiatives related to digital transformation. Based on survey data of 120 experts in charge of the Youth Union and related secondary data, the article provides an overview of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union's digital transformation activities over the past year and makes recommendations for ways to strengthen the organization's role in constructing a digital society, economy, and government.
