Sự tham gia của người dân trong xây dựng công viên công cộng (trường hợp công viên Bờ Vở, phường Chương Dương)
Abstract
Public spaces (PS) are playing an increasingly important role in the material and non-material life of urban residents. Positive impacts of parks and flower gardens on the cultural and non-material life of urban people include meeting the needs for recreation, relaxation, fostering community ties, and connecting residents. Through a survey conducted with 60 residents living in Chương Dương Ward, Hoàn Kiếm District, Hanoi in 2023, the article analyzes a case of a community proactively participating in the processes of establishing, building, and using public spaces near their homes. The research results show that residents in this area have proactively and actively engaged in all three stages of creating, maintaining, and using public spaces. For those involved in the maintenance and use of these spaces, the location also holds significant meaning in their lives.
