THE USAGE OF RRP ADDITIVE TO REINFORCE ROADBED

Abstract

The paper presented the use of RRP additives to reinforce roadbed in coastal plain, where clay is widely distributed, meeting the demand of road construction for local economic development and security and defense.

Main contents included: Scientific basis for using RRP additives to reinforce roadbed soil; The main mechanical properties of soil which were reinforced by RRP additives; Land construction technology which reinforced RRP additives; Survey on the model of concrete pavement plate surface on the foundation layer to measure the reinforcement of RRP additive to find the relationship between the thickness of the foundation layer and the thickness of the pavement plate.

The results confirmed the feasibility of using RRP additives to reinforce the roadbed, especially applied to the coastal plain and the effective thickness of the foundation reinforcement RRP was 27 ÷ 40 cm when the standard axle load was 10 tons.
