IMPACTS ON THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT AND PROPOSED SOLUTIONS TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT AND RESPOND TO CLIMATE CHANGE FOR EFFECTIVE IMPLEMENTATION OF ROAD TRAFFIC NETWORK PLANNING

Abstract

The road network planning for the period 2021 - 2030 and vision to 2050 plays an important role, contributing to socio-economic development and ensuring national security and defense. However, in the past, when deploying and implementing the Planning, there were many shortcomings, affecting the natural environment, so environmental protection solutions are needed to make the planning more effective. The study used desk-research methods; analyzed and synthesized secondary documents; descriptive statistics and analyzed secondary documents for assessment reports on road network planning. The research results analyzed and evaluated two main issues regarding the natural environment and the impact trends of climate change in the implementation of the planning, thereby proposing solutions to overcome and strengthen environmental protection and mitigate and adapt to CC for road traffic activities.
