Abstract
Nestled in the Northwest of Vietnam, Sa Pass town in Lao Cai province is a captivating and renowned tourist destination. However, tourism in Sa Pa is increasingly influenced by the effects of climate change, which poses challenges due to the region's heavy reliance on natural resources for tourism activities. This study involves applying methods, such as data collection and evaluation, sociological surveys, comparative analysis, comprehensive assessment, and systematic analysis to evaluate the impact of climate change on tourism activities in Sa Pa. The research results indicate that the impacts of climate change have affected the tourism landscape, service infrastructure, environment, and types of tourism in Sa Pa. Based on these results, several adaptation solutions to tourism activities in Sa Pa are proposed, considering the effects of climate change. Specifically, the recommendations include: (1) focusing on management and planning solutions; (2) enhancing the quality of disaster warning systems; and (3) improving the effectiveness of communication efforts to raise public awareness and emphasize the importance of addressing climate change-related issues.
