Application of gis technology to standardize environmental resources data for the development of provincial planning database in Can Tho city

Abstract

Previously, planning and management were managed manually in most central and local agencies. After the Law on Planning No. 21/2017/QH14 and Official Letter No. 5746/BKHDT-QLQH dated August 30, 2021 on technical guidance on the provincial planning database framework was issued, many localities have implemented the provincial planning according to the multidisciplinary integration method... Building an overall data warehouse, used for industries is very urgent. The standardization of environmental resource data for provincial planning should be paid special attention and attention. The study has developed a 7-step process to standardize the natural resources and environment database in Can Tho city, using ArcGIS software. The research results have standardized 27 data layers of the component of the Natural Resources and Environment sector, meeting the requirements of the provincial planning database of Can Tho city.
