Integrating trade-off analysis tools for land resource allocation in regional planning
Abstract
Trade-off analysis is a popular policy analysis tool, applied in many different cases to calculate and select goals, processes, or options from the social perspective of a project, or program, Policy aims to provide information for decision-makers to consider, evaluate and decide on the most optimal use of resources. The 2017 Planning Law recognizes regional planning as a level in the national planning system and must consider "advantageous industry development directions of the region; Development plans, arrangement, selection, and distribution of development resources in the regional territory. Thus, the process of developing regional planning needs to integrate trade-off analysis tools to calculate and develop directions for developing advantageous industries, balancing the benefits of the economy and the environment as well as the environment. ensuring inter-sectoral and inter-regional nature, thereby selecting appropriate development options.
