Abstract

In the early years of 21 century, the relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation has been accelerated to a new level, becoming a strategic partnership. However, the trade - commerce relation and labour cooperation are not commensurate with the potential and demand of the two sides. That the Russian Federation joined the World Trade Organisation, boosted comprehensive cooperation with the Asia-Pacific, and enhanced the development in the Far East is opening opportunities for the two countries in trade-economic cooperation in general and cooperation in human resource in particular.

This report will assess the current status of Vietnam - Russia labour cooperation in the early years of 21 century, analyse the potential, advantage and demand from the two countries in labour cooperation in the circumstance that the two countries are moving toward a bilateral FTA in the near future. The report also proposes some solutions to boost the cooperation in human resource between the two countries until the year of 2020.
