LIVELIHOOD TRANSFORMATION AMONG THE LOCAL ETHNIC MINORITIES IN THE CENTRAL WEST COAST REGION - CURRENT SITUATION AND ISSUES

Abstract

Since 1975, the Party and State have implemented many economic development guidelines and policies for the local ethnic minorities in the Central West Coast region. These achievements have significantly changed people's lives, but due to the specific characteristics of natural conditions, historical circumstances and their own level of development, up to now, the economy of the local ethnic minorities in this area is still underdeveloped. In addition to the common challenges of the country, the local ethnic minorities in this place are facing a number of economic difficulties that need to be solved for sustainable development, including livelihood transformation.
In this article, the author presents the current situation of livelihood transformation, discussing a number of issues and proposing a number of solutions as a basis for building policies for sustainable livelihood development in local ethnic minorities in the Central West Coast region.
