Abstract

The UNESCO conventions on culture once again affirm the role and importance of culture in general and cultural heritage in particular in contemporary life. These are also important international
legal frameworks for Vietnam to have a legal basis to apply flexibly in the process of promulgating and
implementing laws and policies to protect and promote the value of cultural heritage in the community of
54 ethnic groups in Vietnam in line with international practices.
