Buddhist Sutras and Nom Incantations in Vietnamese classic opera at the British library

Abstract

a handwritten Vietnamese classic opera manuscript in Nom script, consisting of 27 volumes, all in photocopy form, while the originals remain preserved in the United Kingdom. Within this collection are several Buddhist sutras and folk-religious incantations, all dispersed across volume 7-8218/7. Given their significance for the study of Buddhism and Vietnamese folk religions, it is necessary to transcribe and publish these materials to provide the academic community with additional resources for reference and further research.
