Abstract

Abstract: The article analyses and discusses certain differences in the
responsibilities of the People's Courts for collecting documents and evidence when
resolving civil cases under the 2024 Law on the Organisation of People's Courts, in
comparison with the 2014 Law on the Organisation of People's Courts and the 2015
Civil Procedure Code. In addition, it summarises the courts' evidence-gathering
responsibilities under the laws of several foreign jurisdictions in order to draw lessons
for Vietnam.
