Vietnamese travel in the early 21st century and the imprint of female writers

Abstract

The early 21 st - century Vietnamese literature witnessed the flourishing of travel memoirs by female writers. The simultaneous and impressive emergence of female writers who composed travel memoirs made a mark on literature. By participating and experiencing their live in the context of transplanting living and writing spaces, the female writers had representations which not only depicted the movement of literature history in the new century but also captured insights and experiences of writer in the new context. This article examines the distinctive characteristics and influences of contemporary female authors within the realm of travel writing in Vietnam in the early 21st century.
