Designing educational games on the topic "water and natural phenomena" for preschool children aged 5-6
Abstract
Educational games are effectively used as a tool in educational activities for preschool children in general and specifically for children aged 5-6. In preschool, learning games are designed by teachers based on yearly themes and are utilized in various educational activities. Among these, the theme "Water and Natural Phenomena" is crucial in helping children develop knowledge, skills, and attitudes about the benefits and dangers of water, as well as natural phenomena. It also fosters awareness in children about protecting water resources and safeguarding themselves against natural phenomena that may affect humans. This article proposes a process for designing educational games on the topic "Water and Natural Phenomena" for preschool children aged 5-6 and suggests several games that teachers can apply in activities for children in preschool settings.
